Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper to maintain and manage a beautiful six-bedroom residence in Grouville, Jersey.

The Principal of the home frequently travels, making Jersey their main residence – but they are not always present.

As the Housekeeper, you will ensure that the home remains organised, clean and welcoming.

Job duties

Responsibilities of the Live-in Housekeeper near Grouville include:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the 6-bedroom house, including regular cleaning, tidying, and upkeep of all living areas
• Handle all laundry and ironing tasks efficiently and with care
• Provide basic cooking as needed, ensuring that the principal’s dietary preferences are met
• Run errands, including grocery shopping and other necessary tasks, ensuring the home is well-stocked and organised
• Manage and oversee tradesmen and service providers, ensuring that their work is completed to a high standard
• Look after two small, well-behaved dogs, including providing overnight care when the principal is away
• Spot and address maintenance needs and other tasks as they arise, demonstrating keen attention to detail
• Maintain a high standard of household presentation and organisation

Candidates must be/have:

• Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable
• A valid driving licence – in order to run errands and complete necessary shopping
• Experience in basic cooking and meal preparation
• Reliable and trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility
• Attention to detail and proactive approach to household management
• Comfortable with pet care and overnight stays when required
• Willingness to live on the property in a one-bedroom cottage provided for accommodation

Accommodation

• A one-bedroom cottage located on the property will be provided as part of the role
• No dependents

Hours

Full-time, depending on the Principal’s schedule.

Salary

£35,000 + one-bedroom cottage provided.
