Location: Chelsea, London Role Type: Permanent, Live-in Property: 3-Bedroom Lateral Flat (All on one floor) Schedule: 5-day week (Flexibility required when principals are in residence)

Position Overview

An experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper is required for a pristine three-bedroom apartment in Chelsea. The household consists of two professional adults and is occupied for approximately nine months of the year. (Between a house in Mayfair which employs a domestic couple)

This property is situated entirely on one floor (lateral living), allowing for a focused approach to immaculate presentation and care. The principals require a candidate who understands the nuances of working in a shared space while maintaining discretion and respecting privacy.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Wardrobe Management

• Daily Maintenance: Complete oversight of cleanliness and organisation to a high standard.

• Laundry: Laundering and ironing of clothing and linens; management of fine fabrics and wardrobe organisation.

• Deep Cleaning: Managing a rotational cleaning schedule to ensure all areas (including dusting of mouldings, care of floors, and internal glazing) are maintained.

Kitchen & Hospitality

• Food Preparation: While no full cooking is required, the role involves mise en place (preparation of ingredients) to assist the principals at their Mayfair property as required but usually no more than twice a year.

• Entertaining: Providing support during occasional dinner parties (setup, service, and clear-down).

• Shopping & Errands: Managing household supplies and running local errands in the Chelsea area.

Security & Management

• Occupancy: Ensuring the flat is secure and systems are functioning during periods when the principals are away.

• Contractors: Supervising any external maintenance or tradespeople visiting the property.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience as a live-in housekeeper in private London households is essential.

• Standards: A keen eye for detail and the ability to care for high-quality finishes and furnishings.

• Demeanour: Quiet, unobtrusive, and professional. As this is a lateral flat, the ability to work around the principals without disrupting their routine is vital.

• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt working hours slightly when the principals are in residence or entertaining.

• References: Excellent checkable references required.

The Package

• Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.

• Accommodation: Private bedroom and bathroom within the apartment. You are free to come and go as you please and will be given a buzzer for the main reception and apartment.

• Hours: Generally 5 days per week, with flexibility required during residence periods.
