Live-in Domestic Couple Housekeeper / Houseman & Driver in Belgravia, London SW1

A retired professional couple based in a three-storey townhouse with basement in Belgravia, Central London, are seeking an experienced live-in couple to help manage their home. The principals travel for approximately four months of the year and value a calm, well-run household above all else. This is a private family who place great importance on discretion and will expect the same from the couple they employ.

The Role

This is a combined housekeeper/houseman and driver position for a couple. Duties are shared between both partners according to your respective strengths, and will include:

• Housekeeping — maintaining the property to an exceptionally high standard throughout all three floors
• Cooking — occasional simple British-style cooking for the principals; no elaborate entertaining required
• Driving — chauffeuring the principals in and around London; a clean licence and confidence driving in Central London are essential
• Courtyard garden — tending a small paved courtyard garden, including watering and general upkeep of potted plants and flowers
• General household management — managing household supplies, liaising with tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth running of our home

Hours

• When we are in residence: 5.5 days per week
• When we are travelling: 4.5 days per week
• Night duties are very rarely required. On the infrequent occasions they are, time off in lieu will be accrued and taken during the principals' travel periods.

Accommodation

A self-contained studio flat is provided in the basement of the property. The apartment has its own private entrance and benefits from excellent natural light. The accommodation is offered as part of the employment package.

The Candidates

We are looking for a professional domestic couple who:

• Have demonstrable experience working in comparable high-quality private household jobs before
• Are discreet, trustworthy, and comfortable working within a very private family environment
• Hold clean UK driving licence and are confident, capable drivers in London
• Can provide strong, verifiable references from previous principals
• Are settled, reliable, and looking for a long-term position

Salary

£80,000 per annum (combined), plus accommodation as described above. Including all bills paid.
