Domestic Couple | Housekeeper and Maintenance

A professional, discreet, and experienced Domestic Couple is required for an informal townhouse in Mayfair. The household consists of two professional adults and is occupied approximately nine months of the year. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in high-end households, combining housekeeping excellence with practical maintenance and driving duties.

While the core roster is Tuesday to Saturday, flexibility is essential when the principals are in residence to accommodate social engagements and household rhythm.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Hospitality

• Full housekeeping management of the townhouse to the highest standard, including cleaning, laundry, and wardrobe management.

• Care of fine furnishings, antiques, and surfaces. No carpets - all marble.

• Kitchen Support: While no full-time cooking is required, you will assist with mise en place (meal preparation) and support the principals who like to cook themselves during dinner parties (up to 16 guests).

• Service: Front-of-house service for guests and informal meals.

Maintenance, Driving & Security

• Property Maintenance: Daily oversight of the building’s systems; performing general DIY and preventative maintenance; liaising with and supervising external contractors when required.

• Driving: Essential requirement. Driving duties for errands, airport transfers, and appointments around London. An automatic vehicle is provided for work use. If you have a vehicle, we do have parking at a nearby office block that you could use for one car.

• Security: Maintaining the security of the property, particularly during periods of non-occupancy.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Proven longevity in similar live-in roles within private households (HNW/UHNW background preferred).

• Driving: Full, clean UK driving licence is essential. Extensive knowledge of West London and the area between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly is highly advantageous.

• Skills: Strong organisational skills, ability to manage a smart home environment, and confidence in serving at formal dinner parties.

• Attributes: Discreet, proactive, and adaptable. Must be comfortable working in a home with professional principals who value privacy and efficiency.

• Right to Work: Must be in the UK and have the legal right to work in the UK.

The Package

• Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience.

• Accommodation: Fully furnished one-bedroom basement apartment with its own private entrance.

• Working Hours: 5 days per week (typically Tuesday–Saturday). Flexibility is required to switch days or hours when the principals are in residence or hosting events.
